made some new friends out shooting yesterday and learned about the community for creative non-violence (http://users.erols.com/ccnv/index.html - the website hasnt been updated in years, scroll down a bit). they turned the tables on me and took my picture. 
what the hell is wrong with this block pt. 1: a fight breaks out between the spanish club and the gay club across the street. due to my lack of ability to pry myself away from watching this is the only shot i got - at this point it was the one shirtless member of team crew club screaming racial slurs down the block. 
what the hell is wrong with my block pt. 2: less than 5 minutes after the first fight dies down we hear more yelling - this was seconds before we saw the chains start to fly.
corey and i took it upon ourselves to get a better view so after sprinting down 10 flights of stairs we did, in fact, get to watch a chain and fist fight from the corner.
note to cops: this is popeyes on 14th street. the guys youre looking for are RIGHT THERE, DOWN THE ALLEY. it really isnt that hard, is it?
